Join your fellow 'Optimizers' starting Monday, April 20th in the upgraded (beta) version of the 'Office Hours 2.0' program.

When you joined the 'Optimizer' coaching & mentorship community, I promised I would be 100% invested in your goals. And I hope to the best of my ability I followed through with that promise.

But something tells me there's still a lot more hard work to be done, no?

I want to be right there by your side every week to ensure you maintain your momentum, take action consistently, follow through with your current goals, and continue to set new (and bigger) goals for months and years to come.

Even more importantly, I want to bring together our entire community of likeminded, ambitious creative professionals so we can provide accountability to each other.

How the New 'Office Hours 2.0' Works: 

Community. Accountability. Consistency.

No different than if this were a real college course on a campus, I will make myself available directly to you and the 'Optimizer' community for a minimum of 2 hours per week in my virtual office (via Zoom) to help you work through whatever current obstacle is standing between you and your goals.

In general I plan to offer Office Hours Mondays and Fridays, but please be aware my available reservation times will vary week-to-week. You will have direct access to the available slots on my calendar to book your sessions up to 4 weeks in advance.

During the available times on my calendar:

  • You may schedule in advance one 20 minute 'Hot Seat' session per week where we will work together one-on-one* (up to 80 minutes per month)
  • If someone else has scheduled a 'Hot Seat' you may join the call to observe in the background and ask questions after the session is complete.
  • If no one has scheduled a 'Hot Seat' session in advance during my available times, I will not automatically be waiting on Zoom, but if you want to "drop by" at a moment's notice, send me a quick DM via Slack. If I'm still available, I'm happy to jump on to chat!

If no times are available on my calendar and you have an urgent (ie. time-sensitive) need, you can reach out to me directly via Slack to discuss your options.

*Note: Please be aware that although your 'Hot Seat' session will be one-on-one, others in the program may join and observe in the background. Audio recordings of each session will also be provided to present & future members of the program. (If you prefer to have a private session we can discuss on a case-by-case basis.)

Topics to discuss may include (but are not limited to):

  • Help with general networking research & outreach
  • Workshopping a specific outreach email
  • Workshopping your résumé
  • Workshopping your portfolio website
  • Workshopping an online job application
  • Preparing for an important meeting or job interview
  • Researching and preparing for a live networking event
  • Optimizing any kind or productivity workflow (GTD, Trello, Omnifocus, etc)
  • Optimizing a financial workflow or working through financial questions/challenges
  • Optimizing and building a specific habit (health, sleep, movement, diet, exercise, etc)
  • Any miscellaneous work-life balance challenges

BONUS #1:

Searchable Recordings & Transcripts*

In addition to scheduling up to 80 minutes per month of one-on-one 'Hot Seat' sessions, you will (soon) have access to all past sessions with searchable transcripts by topic!

With over 40 hours of sessions already available, there is a high likelihood your question has already been workshopped with another member of this community. And you can listen to their session and apply their experience to yours.

For example, you can (soon) do a search for 'Mock Job Interview' and listen to all past mock job interviews. Or you can do the same for an outreach email teardown. Or watch someone's portfolio website get critiqued. Etc etc etc.

This alone should be worth the price of admission!

*NOTE: This feature is in development and should be available to test by the end of May.


BONUS #2:

Scheduled 'Focus Groups' For Daily Accountability*

Now that you've learned how to master your calendar and create time blocks to get your most important work done, the only step left is actually following through.

If you find it difficult to stay focused and on task, I will be creating 'Focus Groups' where any active member of this community can schedule a block of time on a group calendar with a 'Focus Buddy' and create a 'Focus Session' whereby you will both jump on Zoom at the same time, state your intentions for that 30/60/90 minute block of work time...and then work.

Yup, it's that simple.

You all just sit on Zoom and get stuff done alongside your fellow Optimizers.
